Michèle will take you on a powerful journey with your breath. You will learn and experience the deep healing benefits of this transformative breathwork. This can help you let go of unhealthy breathing habits, such as shallow breathing and breath holding and have a deeper understanding of breath patterns releasing both physical and emotional tension from the body. This can dramatically shift the way you feel in your body and bring higher states of awareness.

We begin on the journey that enables us to bring awareness to our breath. We learn about the science of the breath and its physiological actions on our mind and bodies. Some of the adaptive behaviours we have acquired as human beings is to hold onto our breath in order to protect ourselves from our feelings and emotions. This process may then becomes habitual, and therefore we lose the ability to breathe deeply and fully. When we limit the effectiveness of our breathing process this can show up as physical illness, general lack of energy, or feeling emotionally drained, fatigue, and can trigger stress, anxiety and depression.

Michèle Anne Barocchi, MPH PhD, is a scientist, yoga and breathwork facilitator. She is the Director of It’s Yoga Firenze, and currently leads international projects related to integrating trauma, through ritual, breath and yoga.
